Sumário
My research project focuses on the various and diverse forms of anti-capitalism articulated and performed by religious actors in contemporary Germany. It is based on fieldwork that interrogates Christian and Muslim experts and activists, who position themselves in the overlapping field of economic, social and religious critics of capitalism. In this talk I would like to point out the “Utopian Aspects of the actors critique and practice.“
Claudia Willms is a research assistant at the Justus-Liebig-University Giessen in Germany. She has written her PHD thesis on the Jewish identity construction of the German sociologist Franz Oppenheimer (1864-1943) and worked lately at the interdisciplinary project on „Religious Positioning“, where she conducted her ethnographic fieldwork on „Religious Anticapitalism?“
