The Portuguese Economic History Workshop will be held on December the 12th 2011 at Institute of Social Sciences University of Lisbon.

Following the already established research tradition originated by the Iberometrics Conferences, which since its first meeting in 2003 encourage discussion on Iberian economic history, the Portuguese Economic History Workshop is designed to provide extensive discussion of new and innovative research in Portuguese economic history.

Researchers are invited to disseminate and exchange ideas on their more recent work covering any subject or period of Portuguese economic history. Papers should be written in English and have a quantitative focus. Accepted papers will be commented first by a discussant and then by the general audience.
