Proposal: “Towards pedagogy of the differences”

Training and Interculturality converge in the line of research, as identity and alterity construction processes, focusing its study on the educational field and through long term qualitative studies in cases.
Teacher subjectivities are of interest, their self-assignments in relation to inequalities and differences: ethnic, cultural, of gender. From micro and macro politics and biopolitics points of view, we attempt to “historicize” and comprehend the scholar contributions, in terms of cultural transmission and identifications, framed in the struggles for the ethnic and cultural recognition of the native people that inhabit the border zone between Argentina and Bolivia. The knowledge creation is set on context action projects with teachers and communities; it deals mostly of training aimed to in-service teachers.

She is a professor and researcher at El Colegio de la Frontera Norte, in the office of Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas. She holds a PhD in Development Studies from the University of Utrecht. His research interests are population studies and gender. Proposal: “Methodological challenges for the study of transit migration. Violence and insecurity in the border of Tamaulipas, Mexico"
The focus of the paper is to reflect on the methodological challenges for the study of transit migration in a context of uncertainty: a research process developed in one country in a region with high-risk conditions. The purpose is to reflect on how the outcome of an investigation is mediated by power relations between different groups within a community and the relationships that exist between each of these groups and / researcher / a. This is particularly describe and analyze the experiences of women migrants in transit displayed on the Mexico-US migration, using qualitative methods that need to be raised to safeguard f both the interviewees, as the researchers.
