The Research Journey: From Proposal to Impact

Convenor: Ramon Sarró, Chair Holder IMAGINE

Organised by the IMAGINE ERA Chair, this series of nine training workshops follows the research journey from the formulation of an initial proposal to the communication, funding and wider impact of research. Led by specialists from ICS-ULisboa and partner institutions, the workshops combine practical guidance with critical reflection on some of the central challenges of contemporary research in the social sciences.

The programme addresses research proposal writing, ethics, risk and care in fieldwork, interdisciplinary research, social impact, open science and data management, responsible uses of artificial intelligence, library and database research, and the preparation of applications for European funding. Together, the sessions offer participants practical tools while encouraging them to think carefully about how research is designed, conducted, supported and shared.

The workshops will take place at ICS-ULisboa on Fridays from 14:30 to 17:30, between 25 September and 27 November 2026.

Please register here if you want to attend (no fee is required).
