R-SCool: Data Analysis with R
The School in R-SCool: Data Analysis with R is an intensive quantitative data analysis course aimed at both beginners with no knowledge of statistics and R software (Week 1) and those with basic knowledge of these two fields (Week 2). In the first week, participants will be introduced to R software and the fundamentals of quantitative data analysis through the model comparison approach, including solving basic and applied research problems, graphical visualization, and estimation of bivariate models. The second week will focus on multivariate data analysis and the construction and interpretation of multiple linear regression and logistic regression models.
Target Audience
The course is aimed at researchers, higher education students and technical professionals who wish to acquire basic knowledge of quantitative data analysis. No previous experience in quantitative analysis or specific programming knowledge is required; the course is designed to meet the needs of participants who are just starting out in this field.

Module 1: R Software
Description: Practical introduction to the R language and RStudio management for data manipulation and analysis.
Requirements: None

Module 2: Fundamentals of Quantitative Analysis
Description: Introduction to quantitative data analysis through the model comparison approach, including the resolution of basic and applied research problems, graphical visualization and estimation of bivariate models.
Requirements: Basic knowledge of R.

Module 3: Multivariate Analysis
Description: Study of variable aggregation techniques through principal component analysis, multiple correspondence and clustering.
Requirements: Basic knowledge of R and quantitative data analysis.

Module 4: Statistical Modeling
Description: Construction and interpretation of multiple linear regression and logistic regression models for predictive and explanatory analyses.

Assessment Methodology
The assessment will be based on active participation in class and the completion of a set of tasks distributed throughout the course. The tasks will be designed to test the understanding and application of the concepts covered in each module, allowing participants to demonstrate their ability to use the quantitative analysis techniques learned with the help of the R package and language.
