On July 11, the Diversidades Research Group is organizing a seminar at the National Library on the theme Under Human Responsibility: Creation, Conservation, and Degradation of the World among the Chibcha. Juan Camilo Niño Vargas (Universidad de los Andes and member of the EDGES project team) will be the guest speaker. The event starts at 11:00 a.m., in the Multimedia Room and online.

The event Enlightenments, Universalisms and Colonialisms will take place on June 24th, at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Lisbon. The event is organized by ICS-ULisboa researchers Isabel Corrêa da Silva and Angela Barreto Xavier.

The next session of the ICS Food Hub Reading Group – Food for Thought – will take place on June 9, starting at 11:30 AM. In this session, Oscar Lamora will present the text Deciphering a Non-meal: Pantawid-Gutom and the Everyday Negotiation of Hunger in the Philippines, by Gideon Lasco and Jhaki Mendoza. On May 30th, Björn Egner (Technical University of Darmstadt) will be the guest speaker at the Postgraduate Studies Seminar in Political Science. The topic for this session will be Measuring Party Ideology by Surveying Local Elites. The seminar begins at 2:30 pm, in Room 1 and online.
