I am a Portuguese Landscape Architect (1994) holding an European PhD in Arts and Techniques of Landscape (2008). Over the last 15 years I have combined lecturing and researching in 5 universities. My research is focused on the relationship between Territory and Landscape, applied on spatial planning and cultural landscape management towards better life standards. Since 2009, I have been contributing to the European Landscape Convention implementation in Portugal including the design of the National Policy of Architecture and Landscape (2015).
I am a representative of IFLA Europe on IFLA Cultural Landscape Working Group.
