Jussara Rowland is a sociologist and post-doctoral researcher at ICS-ULisboa. She has a PhD in sociology from ISCTE-Instituto Universitário de Lisboa with a thesis on the discursive construction of Corporate Social Responsibility and has worked over the past years on projects related to children and youth, digital practices, and science communication. She has been part of the team of several national and international projects, namely the project "CUIDAR: Cultures of Disaster Resilience among Children and Young People" and the project "CONCISE Communication role on perception and beliefs of EU Citizens" about Science both funded by the European Commission. She is currently a researcher in the European project "CO2 Geological Pilots in Strategic Territories - PilotSTRATEGY". Her current interests are centered around the use of participatory and creative methods, the impact of digital media in contemporary societies, and science communication.
