Jussara Rowland
Jussara Rowland is a Sociologist and Junior Researcher at the Institute of Social Sciences, University of Lisbon (ICS-ULisboa). She holds a PhD in Sociology from ISCTE – University Institute of Lisbon and has, over recent years, worked on projects related to youth, digital technologies, and public perception of science communication. She has participated in several national and international research projects, including CUIDAR – Cultures of Disaster Resilience among Children and Young People and CONCISE – Communication Role on Perception and Beliefs of EU Citizens about Science, both funded by the European Commission.
She is currently a researcher in the European projects PilotSTRATEGY and CEEGS, vice-coordinator of the SHIFT research group, and a visiting assistant professor at Instituto Superior Técnico. Her current research interests focus on the use of participatory and creative methods, the impact of digital technologies on contemporary societies, and science communication.
