This week in SPARC we will have Ana Rute Cardoso, a new ICS colleague from Economic History, presenting her work.

Ana Rute Cardoso here is presenting a paper with David Card who won the Nobel Prize for Economics in 2021.

The title is: "Wage Flexibility Under Sectoral Bargaining", with David Card (University of California Berkeley).

AR Cardoso's work is particularly interesting for its methods, as well as its findings.

 

"How do political parties respond to crisis? The salience and sentiment of the EU in parliaments following the Great Recession."

This Thursday (14h30-16h00) we will have Nelson Santos presenting the paper .

The paper is a chapter from Nelson's thesis, which is an article-based thesis.

The title is the following: "How do political parties respond to crisis? The salience and sentiment of the EU in parliaments following the Great Recession."
