ICS Open Day 2023, the annual meeting of doctoral students, will take place on Wednesday, 31st May and Thursday, 1st June, in Sala Maria de Sousa and on Zoom platform.
The scientific meeting will be held on Wednesday, from 10:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and on Thursday afternoon, from 2:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Literatura oral timorense: Nada acontece por acaso, tudo tem uma razão de ser!
"Literatura oral" é uma expressão utilizada para designar narrativas transmitidas oralmente pelas pessoas com o objetivo de explicar acontecimentos, considerados misteriosos ou sobrenaturais, ou até fenómenos da natureza, que não são, muitas vezes, compreendidos. Regista-se, por isso, uma mistura de factos reais com imaginários e uma mistura da estória e da fantasia com os personagens que realmente existiram.

Activities aimed at political decision-makers and stakeholders
The ICS, through its Observatories in particular, undertakes a range of activities aimed at converting the results of academic research into instruments which assist in political decision-making and to the work of other entities (stakeholders). Some examples:
