Whose Lives Should Be Saved? Patients’ Race/Ethnicity and Medical Rationing during the COVID-19 Pandemic
Using a medical decision-making paradigm, WHOLS examined whether rationing decisions about medical equipment necessary to treat affected patients are influenced by non-medical factors (e.g. race/ ethnicity), and whether a potential differential can be explained by implicit prejudice in a sample of physicians working at the National Health System.
