Frequently, prejudice is expressed by members of a majority group, against members of minority groups, sometimes in the absence of the latter. My dissertation explores responses of majority-group members who witness a member of their ingroup expressing bias. More specifically, I study factors that promote (or hinder) majority-group members' a) confrontation of bias and b) social aproval of that confrontation.
