Raquel Rego
Raquel Rego is a Portuguese researcher with a PhD in sociology since 2007, obtained at the Université Lille 1 and, simultaneously, at ISCTE-Instituto Universitário de Lisboa. She participates in national and European research projects since 1998 and is currently a Researcher Fellow at the Institute of Social Sciences (ICS) from the University of Lisbon, collaborating with the PhD program in Comparative Politics and International Relations at ICS. Previously Raquel was a researcher at SOCIUS-ISEG from the University of Lisbon (2007-2015) and a member of the Portuguese team at Eurofound's European Observatory of Working Life (Eurwork) (2007-2015). She has been a member of IRENE, a network of independent experts working on company restructuring, since 2014, and a member of the European network IR Share since 2018. She is also an external consultant, collaborating namely with Wilke Maack and Partners, PCG Project Consult and ICF International. In addition to participating in other projects, she is the coordinator of the REP project - Representativeness of social partners and the impact on economic governance, funded by FCT (2018-2021), and was the Portuguese partner in the European project DIRESOC - Digitization and restructuring: What social dialogue ?, funded by the European Commission (2018-2020). Raquel was also coordinator of the Organizing Committee of ICS Responsible Research and Innovation Seminars between 2016 and 2020. In 2018, Raquel founded the Thematic Section: Civil Society, Alternative Economies, Volunteering, at the Portuguese Sociological Association, together with Cristina Parente and Sílvia Ferreira.
