Degree in Anthropology, University of Fernando Pessoa. Master in Anthropology, University of Minho. PHD in Social Sciences, specialized in Anthropology, Instituto de Ciências Sociais (Social Sciences Institute) of the University of Lisbon with entitled dissertation: “Claques Portuenses. A Study about Organized Groups of Football Supporters in Urban Context”. Anthropology and Sports Sociology are his main fields of work. Develops research on Ultra Groups and Hooliganism as well as the status of a team supporter. Following this research, has also worked on the relation between football teams and urban spaces in which they operate and about their importance in the construction of identities and regionalism.
