Professor at the Polytechnic Institute of Portalegre since 2004. He graduated in Sociology at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Coimbra (1998); did his Masters in Sociology (variant in Human Resources and Sustainable Development) at the University of Évora (2007) and his PhD in Sociology (specialization in Sociology of Education and Training) at ICS-UL (2015). He is a researcher at the Centre for Social Sciences, Humanities and Health C3I-IPP (Interdisciplinary Coordination for Research and Innovation of the Polytechnic Institute of Portalegre). Most of his studies have been dedicated to the areas of education and training of adults as well as sociology of health. He has articles published in peer reviewed of ISI and Scopus journals.
