Risk doesn't exist: visions and practices of random apropriation
Project of bibliographic research and building-up of debate forum, focused on the concentration, availability and analyse of empiric and theoretical studies related to the social appropriations of aleatoriness, uncertainty and threats in different social and cultural contexts. Dealing with those materials, a particular reflection will be made about their rapports with the probabilistic concept of "risk", and about the relationship between this concept and the societies where it is hegemonic.

Objectivos:
1) To survey, collect and make available the studies of social science focused in (or dealing with) the social appropriations of aleatoriness, uncertainty and threats;
2) to analyze those studies from a critic perspective, in theoretical and epistemological terms;
3) to use those materials as empiric and theoretical data for the debate about the perverse effects of the "risk" concept and rhetoric;
4) to create a digital platform which might became a reflection and debate forum about those subjects worldwide, besides making available the productions of the participants;
5) to divulgate the results in a perspective both theoretical and of intervention on the practical and decisional approaches to collective dangers, with or without technological origin.
State of the art:
