Vincent Yzerbyt
Vincent Yzerbyt is Professor at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of the Catholic University of Louvain, Belgium, where he teaches social and cultural psychology and statistics. His research on intergroup relations and social cognition investigates the mechanisms at work in stereotypes, prejudices, and discrimination as well as various themes related to diversity in multicultural societies and to the COVID pandemic. His work also addresses methodological issues and statistics in behavioral sciences. Active in public debates, he works for various associations and NGOs working on sexism, racism, and intercultural dialogue. His publications include more than 200 articles and book chapters and numerous monographs and textbooks. A former president of the European Association of Social Psychology, he has edited various leading journals in his discipline. From 2009 to 2014, he served as Vice-Rector for Research at his university and, in 2023, was awarded an honorary doctorate from the University of Basel.
