Ph.D. in Social Sciences, Historical Sociology specialty, from Institute of Social Sciences, University of Lisbon, with the thesis Empire and Image: D. João de Castro and the rhetoric of the Viceroy (1505-1548). Degree in Modern and Contemporary History, and post-graduation in Modern and Contemporary History, shed Cities and Heritage, by ISCTE-IUL. His areas of interest are Culture, Ideas and Society studies in relationship with Political and Social History, in the context of Early Modern period, European maritime expansion and empires, crossing multidisciplinary approaches with the fields of Sociology and Anthropology. Works currently at the Lisbon Municipal Archives as a permanent researcher focusing on projects encompassing the city of Lisbon.
