Mohammedali Taha holds a PhD in Comparative Politics from ICS-University of Lisbon. He is Founding Member and the President of Open Think Tank. Taha is a former Member of Parliament from Kurdistan Region of Iraq from 2014 to 2018 and served at the parliamentary committee of the international relations and diaspora and the committee of Civil Society. He was also official spokesperson and member of the presidency board of the Kurdistan Democratic Party’s Fraction. Has worked as university lecturer and among others, Mohammedali Taha is a poet, writer, experienced journalist and worked with numerous civil society organizations both as a trainer and an organizer in capacity building and improvement programs in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.
