Maria José Lobo Antunes
Maria José Lobo Antunes holds a degree in anthropology (ISCTE, 1993) and a masters in social sciences (Institute of Social Sciences, 1998). She presented a thesis on Portuguese colonial war memory for her phD in anthropology (New University of Lisbon, 2015). Between 1997 and 2002 she was an assistant lecturer at Department of Anthropology, University of Coimbra. From 1998 to 2008 she was a project member in several research projects on themes like social poverty, exclusion and migration.
Maria José is a postdoctoral research fellow at Institute of Social Sciences since April 2017. Her project "Image, war and memory: colonial war photography in private collections and in institutional archives" is funded by Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia.
