Jorge M. Fernandes
Jorge M. Fernandes (Viana do Castelo, 1986) is a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Institute of Social Sciences, University of Lisbon. He holds a PhD in Political and Social Sciences from the European University Institute, Florence. His research interests are representation, political parties, legislatures, electoral systems, and coalition politics . Before joining ICS, Jorge was a Post-Doctoral Fellow in the PATHWAYS project, at the University of Bamberg, Germany.
His work has appeared in Comparative Political Studies, European Journal of Political Research, Legislative Studies Quarterly, Party Politics, among others. He is co-editor of Iberian Legislatures in Comparative Perspective (Routledge, forthcoming).
In 2018-2019 he is a Visiting Scholar at Harvard University's Minda de Gunzburg Center for European Studies.
