On 2016, Felippe Clemente got his Ph.D. in Applied Economics at the Federal University of Viçosa, Minas Gerais, Brazil, with a thesis on Tax Evasion: Essays on Tax Evasion. He was recruited as na international researcher at Goethe Frankfurt Univeristy, Germany for 2015. He was then recruited as an assistant research at the Economics Department, Federal University of Viçosa, from 2016 to 2019. He was also junior professor at the University of Viçosa under the aegis of the Economics Department for the period 2018/ 2019. His current research interests focus on corruption and economics crisis, tax evasion, economics of crime and economics politics in Europe and abroad. He is integrated in Institute of Social Sciences, University of Lisbon (his employer).
