Thesis:
Ethos and Politics Underpinning the Migration and Climate Change correlation discourse
Abstract:
This doctoral research inquires mobility and immobility from a wider perspective beyond climate change by exploring the perceptions of understudied communities in Guinea-Bissau.
It extends its scope to those actors responsible for responding to the array of challenges these particular communities face, either via the allocation of resources or through policy design and implementation (e.g. NGOs, INGOs, political institutions).
The results should reflect how key actors perceive such challenges, and to what extent environmental degradation and climate change become part of the migration decision-making process.
