The research aims to study the relationship between the formal city (planned) and the informal city (illegal) through the daily experience of construction workers of the bairro 6 de Maio, a clandestine neighboorhood with predominantly Cape Verdean population. Considering the uses of urban space, craft practices and bodily experiences involved in it, it is intended to analyze the physical and social movement of people between the space they inhabit and the urban spaces they build.
