Andrés Malamud
Andrés Malamud is a senior research fellow at the Institute of Social Sciences of the University of Lisbon. He received a B.A. from the University of Buenos Aires and a Ph.D. in Political and Social Sciences from the European University Institute. His areas of interest include political institutions, regional integration, foreign policy, EU Studies and Latin American politics.
Malamud has been a visiting researcher at the Max Planck Institute in Heidelberg and at the University of Maryland, College Park. He is a recurring visiting professor at universities in Argentina, Brazil, Italy, Mexico, Portugal and Spain. His work has been published in such journals as Latin American Research Review, Cambridge Review of International Affairs, Journal of European Integration, Latin American Politics and Society, European Political Science, Internasjonal Politikk, Latin American Perspectives, Desarrollo Económico, Contexto Internacional, Análise Social and Revista de Ciencia Política.
Malamud has served in the executive committee of the Latin American Political Science Association (ALACIP) and as official representative to the European Consortium for Political Research (ECPR). Currently he is the secretary-general of the Portuguese Association of Political Science (APCP).
