Doctoral Workshop - Studying migration and border regimes
The study of migration and border regimes has obtained increasing attention in recent years as the movement of people across borders has become a key issue in our globalized world.
This workshop invites contributions from doctoral candidates who are studying migration and border regimes. Participants will be able to present their case studies in a collaborative space where they can engage in meaningful discussions about their research objectives and the theoretical, epistemological or methodological dimensions of their projects with senior researchers.
Over the course of the two days of the workshop, there will be three keynote presentations - one keynote for each of the following research clusters:
Gender, Race & Sexuality
Affectivity, Social Relations & Sensorial Experience
Borders, Citizenship & the Labour Market

The workshop will be held in person at Instituto de Ciências Sociais, Universidade de Lisboa in Lisboa, Portugal, on November 23rd and 24th, 2023.
