Objectivos:
The objectives are: a) organize an international colloquium on the theme of the projecto, in Lisbon, October 2010; b) in connection tith it, organize a permanent network of Africacan, American, Asiatic and European scholars on the problems of the Semi-Presidential State.
State of the art:
<p>The Semi-presidential State is now widely recognized as as form of the State. There is a vast comparative literature on the subject. But we lack a thematic reappraisal of the institutional problems, which arose in the countries where it started; we also lack a description of the World expansion of this form of Government in Africa and Asia, whixh takes into account both the thematic and the regional problems.</p>
