South European Studies International Master
The Master in South European Studies offers an international learning experience that involves studying, training and conducting research in the UK (Glasgow) and in two of the four South European county partners (Italy, Spain, France, Greece), over a period of two years. The programme’s focus is unique in examining Southern Europe as a region with a distinct identity and role in the world. The programme will endeavour to explore these region in depth, utilising a wealth of theoretical and methodological approaches drawn from the humanities and social sciences. Students are offered the option of a research track leading to a Dissertation or a professional track in their second year, involving a substantial work placement and a Professional project. An international winter school on dissertation/professional project training will be offered by the Institute for the Social Sciences at the University of Lisbon.
