Luís Júnior Costa Saraiva
Luis Junior Costa Saraiva is an anthropologist and works at the Federal University of Pará, Bragança campus. His interests lie at the intersection between Anthropology and History, materializing it in research lines about dynamics of coastal populations, sexuality and gender, as well as health and welness anthropology. The contexts of research included Portugal Lisbon, Belém, Marabá and Bragança in Brasil. At this point develops a project on health, work and environment among fishermen in Bragança, Pará-Brasil. He has recently published The Rebirth of Venus (Imp. Social Sciences - 2014). He is currently the vice coordinator of the research group Social Environmental Coastal Studies ESAC, at UFPA-Bragança. He collaborates as a professor on the Amazon Languages and Knowledges Graduate Program, at UFPA.
