This project aims to investigate the efforts of the colonial state to know, govern, and impose legibility on the territory of the New Conquests, in Goa, researching the different institutions, forms of knowledge and agents that gave form to the colonial admnistration of goanese forests between the mid-19th century and the early 20th century.
