Governing Pernambuco and the attached Capitanias: The Profile of Recruitment, Political Communication and Jurisdictions of the Governors of the Captaincy of Pernambuco (1654-1756).
Abstract:
From the construction of a social profile of recruitment and the systematic analysis of the political communication of the Governors appointed to the Captaincy of Pernambuco between 1654 and 1756, it intends to show possible changes in the political culture and in the governmental practices of these agents, based on the relations who maintained with the Crown, the General Government, the presences existing at the end of their jurisdiction.
