The main objective of IE is interdisciplinary research on ageing, in areas that include Demography, Social Sciences and Health Sciences. It also promotes academic training in ageing studies, scientific communication for society in general, and evaluation and research of public policies in connection with population ageing. Observa promotes projects and activities focused on the social dimension of environmental and territorial matters.
