New frontiers: citizenship, migration and religion in the council of Seixal

New frontiers: citizenship, migration and religion in the council of Seixal

This Project consisted in survey on immigration, education and religion in the Municipality of Seixal (Metropolitan Area of Lisbon). The project consisted in conducting surveys, interviews, discussion groups and workshop in a fruitful collaboration ICS/City Council of Seixal. Several papers were given on the region in national and international conferences, and several MA and PhD students were encouraged to study this metropolitan area. The project ended when the PI obtained funding for two national and international projects (FCT funded "Christian Atlantic" and NORFACE funded "Recognizing Christianity") and Seixal became incorporated as a research area in one of them ("Christian Atlantic"). A publication now in preparation will incorporate parts of the results.
