Susana Duarte Fonseca
PhD in Sociology from ISCTE-IUL.
Since June 2016 is working on the project "Taking care of children in an uncertain world - the integration of the precautionary principle in families and health practitioners practices" under a FCT post-doc scholarship.
She has always worked in the area of Environmental Sociology either at ICS - Universidade de Lisboa or at ISCTE - Instituto Universitário de Lisboa, and participated in several research projects on risk perception, social representations, social movements, energy and environment and health.
She is a founding member of the first Portuguese renewable energy cooperative - Coopérnico - Cooperativa de Desenvolvimento Sustentável, CRL and a member of the board since the beginning of 2015. She is a founding member and also a member of the board of ZERO - Association for the Sustainability of the Earth System, an environmental NGO, since January 2016. She was a member of the board of Quercus - National Association for Nature Conservation between 2003-2011 and became president between 2009 and 2011. She was a member of the Minuto Verde team from the beginning until December 2015. She has been a member of the National Council on Sustainable Development as a representative of national NGOs from 2007 to 2013.
