Perceptions of power and power of perceptions: evidences on the Brazilian case through the eyes of US and China

How Brazil is perceived? Are there differences or convergences in and within self and external perceptions? How long do these perceptions remain to become meaningful? With the current shifts in world affairs, one should look for what kind(s) of perceptions and how these perceptions enable state's behavior, which in turn accounts for an interesting and essential understanding of power and foreign policy's (re) definitions. More importantly, allows to better understand Brazilian status in the last decade, accounting for its self-perception and the perception of two important states, US and China.
