Colette Le Petitcorps
Colette Le Petitcorps holds a degree in Political Science, a Master's in Geography and a PhD in Sociology. She led her thesis at the MIGRINTER Laboratory in Poitiers (Université de Poitiers, France) specialized in migration studies. Supervised by Véronique Petit, the thesis questions domestic service work from the analysis of female migration processes in France. Her other research topics focus on social inequalities in aging, young migrants schooling in France and the production of power relations (race, ethnicity, class, gender) in domestic services in the Republic of Mauritius. She is a researcher at the Institute of Social Sciences and part of the ERC project "The Colour of Labour. The Racialized Lives of Migrants" led by Cristiana Bastos.
