Cláudia Generoso de Almeida
Claudia Generoso de Almeida is a Research Fellow at the ICS-UL. She integrates the research team of JUSTLY: Assessing and Explaining the Outcome of Transitional Justice in the World, and the research Group RIPol "Regimes and Institutions. With a Ph.D. in Political Science, Administration and International Relations (Universidad Complutense de Madrid), she also collaborates with the CEI-IUL, and was an Invited Assistant Professor at the NOVA-FCSH, ISCTE-IUL (Portugal) and University of Agostinho Neto (Angola). She has also collaborated in several research projects at the ICS-UL, and also as a country expert at the Varieties of Democracy(V-DEM), and as a researcher and consultant in the Documentary TV Series Mozambique From War and Peace, directed by the Mozambican film-maker Sol de Carvalho. She is also a regular contributor of the Presidential Powerblog. Her main research interests include post-war democratization, memory and transitional justice, party adaptation, elections, electoral violence and protest, with a focus in Africa.
