Andre Novoa is trained in History, master in Anthropology and PhD in Geography. His doctorate was awarded by Royal Holloway, University of London, with the supervision of Tim Cresswell, after defending a thesis on the mobilities and identities of professional groups within the European Union. He has been a fellow researcher at Northeastern University, Boston, developing work on low-carbon mobilities and public policy. Currently, he is researcher at the Institute of Social Sciences, Lisbon, in the scope of the ERC grant "The Colour of Labour", coordinated by Crisitana Bastos. He is also assistant editor of HAU: Journal of Ethnographic Theory, based at SOAS, London. His work is published in journals such as Mobilities and Environment and Planning A. Andre is an amateur musician and fiction writer for role-playing games on his spare time.
