Offered jointly by the Faculdade de Letras and the Instituto de Ciências Sociais of the Universidade de Lisboa, it covers four fundamental areas and their intersections: Anthropology, History, Linguistics and Literature. The Master in Brazilian Studies [Estudos Brasileiros] provides a dynamic integration between the humanities and the social sciences, allowing, at the same time, a transversal specialization within the scope of Brazilian Studies and a pre-specialization in each of the areas involved.
